A Cozy Urban Family Session in Downtown St. Cloud


There’s something magical about photographing a family in the heart of Downtown St. Cloud. The textures, architecture, and soft pockets of light create a beautiful blend of modern and timeless—perfect for families who want portraits that feel both stylish and heartfelt.


For this session, we explored some of my favorite urban corners of St. Cloud, Minnesota. From warm brick backdrops to sleek stone staircases and tucked-away alleyways with gorgeous natural light, every spot added a unique layer to their story. Urban locations offer so much variety, and they’re ideal for families who want something a little different from the traditional park setting.


What I loved most about this session was how relaxed and connected this family was. Even in the middle of the city, they moved through our time together with genuine joy—laughing, playing, and leaning into those sweet in-between moments I’m always watching for.
