A Love Story Full of Adventure, Joy, and New Experiences

Some couples spend years wondering if they've found the right person.
Nikki and Matt spent years growing up alongside theirs.
Their story began in 8th grade, long before wedding planning, engagement photos, and seating charts. What started as young love grew into a friendship, a partnership, and a relationship that would carry them through some of life's biggest milestones. For more than a decade, they chose each other again and again, building a love rooted in friendship, laughter, and unwavering commitment.
On June 19, 2026, surrounded by 140 of their closest family members and friends at Hastings Country Club, they finally celebrated the day they had been waiting for all those years.
The day began with excitement filling the wedding suites as family members and lifelong friends gathered to help bring the celebration to life. There was laughter echoing through the rooms, bouquets being fluffed, ties being straightened, and the unmistakable feeling that something extraordinary was about to happen.
One of the most emotional moments of the afternoon came during Nikki's first look with her father. As he turned and saw his daughter in her wedding gown for the first time, years of memories seemed to come rushing forward all at once. It was a quiet and meaningful reminder that wedding days are about so much more than two people—they are about every person who helped shape the journey that brought them here.
Not long after, it was Matt's turn.
After spending more than ten years together, their first look wasn't filled with uncertainty or nervous anticipation. Instead, it felt like coming home. The smiles came easily. The laughter followed naturally. And for a few moments, the rest of the day seemed to fade away as they simply enjoyed being together.
Anyone who knows Nikki and Matt knows that laughter is one of the cornerstones of their relationship.
They are playful, competitive, and constantly teasing one another. Whether they're battling it out at the bowling alley or sharing stories that make everyone around them laugh, they bring a lightheartedness to their relationship that is impossible not to love. One of my favorite stories they shared involved Nikki talking in her sleep. In the middle of the night she suddenly sat upright and yelled, “WHAT IS ALL THIS STUFF?!” causing Matt to believe something catastrophic was happening. Half asleep herself, Nikki simply waved, said "hi," and promptly went back to sleep.
That playful energy followed them throughout the entire wedding day.
The beautiful grounds of Hastings Country Club provided the perfect backdrop for portraits. Together we explored the foliage surrounding the club house and pond area, creating images that felt both romantic and timeless. One of the most memorable moments came beside the water, where calm reflections mirrored the couple standing together. It was the kind of scene that felt symbolic of their relationship—steady, beautiful, and built on years of growing side by side.
As guests arrived, anticipation filled the air.

...Continued

Their unplugged ceremony allowed everyone to be fully present as Nikki and Matt exchanged vows surrounded by the people who have loved and supported them throughout their lives. The ceremony included meaningful readings, a unity candle ceremony, a blessing of the hands, and a family commitment, all thoughtfully chosen to reflect the values they share.
The ceremony wasn't extravagant or complicated.
It was sincere.
And sometimes sincerity is what makes a wedding unforgettable.
After being pronounced husband and wife and sharing their first kiss, the newlyweds were greeted by cheers from family and friends who had watched their story unfold for years.
Cocktail hour gave everyone an opportunity to celebrate together while extended family portraits preserved memories that will be treasured for generations. Soon guests gathered for dinner and an evening full of heartfelt toasts.
Stories were shared.
Tears were shed.
Laughter filled the room.
From Nikki's father to the Maid of Honor and Best Man, every speech painted a picture of two people who are deeply loved and admired by those around them.
As the evening light softened, we slipped away for a few quiet moments during golden hour. These are often my favorite moments of any wedding day. The schedule slows down. The celebration continues in the distance. And couples finally have a chance to pause and take in the reality that they are married.
For Nikki and Matt, those moments felt especially meaningful.
After spending so many years building a life together, they were finally stepping into their next chapter as husband and wife.
Back inside, the celebration continued with their first dance, parent dances, cake cutting, bouquet and garter tosses, and one unforgettable party. Guests packed the dance floor while Oreo Says GO kept the energy high well into the evening.
One of the most memorable moments came as family and friends gathered to create a tunnel of paper airplanes, a perfectly playful ending for a couple of aviators whose relationship has always been filled with laughter and fun.
It was joyful.
It was heartfelt.
It was uniquely them.
Nikki and Matt, thank you for trusting me to document this incredible chapter of your story. It was an honor to witness the beginning of your marriage and celebrate alongside the people who love you most.
After more than a decade together, your wedding day wasn't the start of your love story.
It was the celebration of everything that came before it—and the beginning of everything still to come.
Forever and for always.
